J&B will require a copyright. A copyright is a legal protection given to an original literary, dramatic, musical, and artistic work. Since our initial product consists of text and software, it is considered a literary work and can be protected under the Copyright Act. The process of applying for a copyright is quite effortless. Upon developing the content writing of the product, J&B simply completes a one page application form. The form is then sent, along with a $65.00 fee, to the Intellectual Property Office and within two weeks J&B's product would be copyrighted.
